Sports Physicals

A sports physical, also known as a pre-participation physical examination (PPE), is a crucial step in ensuring athletes are physically prepared for their sport. The Minnesota State High School League requires all athletes in grades 7 through 12 to have a signed sports physical at least every three years by a licensed provider, in Minnesota this can be a chiropractor, nurse practitioner, or medical doctor.

While student athletes require a sports physical every three years, we recommend a yearly exam for athletes of any age so we can identify any potential health concerns before activity begins.

At Live Well, we provide comprehensive sports physicals in a professional and welcoming environment. During the visit, we will:

  • Review medical history, including past injuries, illnesses, and family health background
  • Check vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and vision
  • Assess joint flexibility, muscle strength, and overall physical condition
  • Identify any conditions that may require further evaluation or precautions

Our goal is to ensure you or your child can safely enjoy sports while minimizing the risk of injury. We take the time to answer any questions and provide recommendations for peak performance. Walk-ins and scheduled appointments are available — contact us today to book your sports physical.
